Common Questions
My organization already has a website; can I use my StadiumRoar site along with the existing site?
Yes. You can use your StadiumRoar website as the sole website for your organization, or use it in conjunction with an existing site. If you already have an existing site, you can easily add links to your StadiumRoar website on the existing site. For example, let's say you use StadiumRoar to share documents. On your existing site, you can say something like "Click here to download organization documents", and post a link to your StadiumRoar Forms section. Learn more about posting StadiumRoar links on other websites.
I don't need all of the features on my StadiumRoar website; can I just use some?
Yes. Feel free to use only the features you need. You can leave any sections you don't need blank. If a website visitor comes to a blank section on your site, the visitor will simply see a message that says there is no content available.
How do I get people to visit my site?
Your StadiumRoar site has its own unique URL, which you can share with anyone. Your URL is in the format www.stadiumroar.com/organizationname. The easiest way to spread this URL is to have it posted on other websites and to email it out to people. Learn more about spreading your site.
Am I the only person who can make changes to my site?
No. You can add an unlimited amount of fellow admins to your site. Typically, these people are organization directors, assistants and program heads. Once someone has been added as an admin, the person has access to add and update all site information. Learn more about inviting admins to your site.
Can I use StadiumRoar Online Registration and/or StadiumRoar Scheduling with my site?
Yes. You can seamlessly access StadiumRoar's other two main features - Online Registration and Scheduling - directly from your StadiumRoar website. There are links to both of these features in your site's Membership box, which is located on your Home page. Learn more about your Membership box.
Can I assign my own domain name to my site, or do I have to use the www.stadiumroar.com sub-domain?
You can use your own domain name for your site. For instance, let's say you own the domain name www.myorganizationname.com. You can easily have this domain name forward directly to your StadiumRoar site. The domain registrar companies - such as GoDaddy and Network Solutions - which you purchased your domain from, offer "domain forwarding" options. You need to log into your domain registrar company's website and set the domain to forward to your StadiumRoar site's public URL. There should be simple instructions to set up forwarding on the domain registrar website. Learn more about your site's public URL.
How is it possible my site is free?
Unlike other companies that try to extract as much money from customers as possible, StadiumRoar does the opposite; we try to work as efficiently as possible so that we can charge customers as little as possible. We feel this strategy opens us up to more users, and will allow us to continue to grow at a rapid rate over time. Thus, we offer our StadiumRoar websites completely for free. We make money by placing small ads on sites. We never place ads on the Home page of a site, and we make sure there is no more than one small ad on each page. All ads of course are relevant to site visitors, and never contain anything but content approved for all ages.
